OLUROTIMI COKER

 

Brief Profile: Olurotimi Jenkins Coker, son of Late DIG Olubunmi Jenkins Coker and Mrs. Henrietta Eki Coker (née Giwa-Osagie) hails from a family deeply rooted in the Cathedral Church of Christ. His parents have been active and invaluable contributors to the growth and development of the church, a legacy Olurotimi has upheld as a member of the Cathedral from birth. His lifelong connection to the church is reflected in his active participation and unwavering dedication to its growth. Olurotimi, a devoted member of the Cathedral Church of Christ is also involved in several groups such as; the Cathedral Torch Bearers, The Cathedral Circle and the Men’s Bible Class. He is also set to be inducted as a member of the Cathedral Christian Brothers at their next meeting. Currently serving as the Leader of Group B of the Cathedral Guild of Stewards, Olurotimi demonstrated his exceptional leadership skills by guiding his fellow stewards to secure the long-sought-after SHIELD—an achievement that had eluded the group for over a decade. Beyond this milestone, his contributions extend to the spiritual realm, where his leadership of the Lagos Anglican Bible College (LABICO) Alumni has infused new energy, fostering increased youth participation and clergy engagement. An accomplished individual in his professional life, Olurotimi Jenkins Coker is the Chairman and Managing Director of Crest Security Outfit Limited and a Legal Practitioner of over 3 decades, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence. Despite his professional commitments, he remains deeply devoted to serving God and humanity. Guided by the understanding that one day we will all stand before God to account for how we have used the time, talents, and treasures entrusted to us, Olurotimi’s aspiration to serve as People’s Warden is deeply rooted in his divine purpose. He envisions a church administration infused with private-sector professionalism, innovation, and excellence, fostering growth across spiritual, structural, and social dimensions. Having narrowly missed his first bid for the position, Olurotimi’s current campaign is guided by the Holy Spirit and a steadfast commitment to transformative progress. His focus on capacity building, impactful outreach, and dynamic evangelism aims to strengthen the church’s role in its members' lives and its influence on broader society. Anchored in the biblical principle that “he who is faithful in little will also be faithful in much,” Olurotimi Jenkins Coker is poised to lead with wisdom, vision, and purpose.
